We have been commissioned by the Migros Eastern Switzerland Cooperative to carry out geological-geotechnical investigations on the Sommerau Nord site in Gossau.

The site, which is immediately south of the A1 motorway, covers an area of around 290 x 320 m and is to be developed in the medium term with uses still to be defined. So far, however, no concrete construction project is on the table.

The aim of the soil investigations is to establish the geological, geotechnical and contaminated site conditions for the planned development, including the access roads, which will then serve as the basis for an architectural competition. To this end, excavator slots, dynamic soundings and various core drillings will be carried out in May 2015. The subsoil material will also be examined for possible chemical contamination.
