The Appenzeller Bahnen AG has been for some time planning a new cross connection (Durchmesserlinie DML) between Trogen – St. Gallen – Appenzell. In this connection our bureau was able to carry out the geotechnical works since 2006.

Currently the planning and realisation project is on-going. To obtain more precise insight into the groundwater conditions within the body of loose rock in the area of the tunnel, additionally 4 rotational core drillings up to a maximum depth of 51 m were carried out in the last weeks. Within the boreholes comprehensive tests were conducted (pumping and lowering tests, Flowmeter, chemical analyses).
