On the 20th of May 2017, the Trinational Flood Defense Day (Switzerland / St. Gallen, Austria / Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein) took place, at which the water brigade presented to the population their measures towards securing the Rhine dams.

As a member of the flood expert committee in Liechtenstein, we were able to prepare and present the post Geotechnics together with the Dr. Bernasconi AG. There, some insights into the internal structure of the Rhine dam were given, potential damage processes during Rhine floods presented and the waters influence on the stability of the dam explained using a simple experiment.
